Catholic 2.0 About Us

The New Evangelization

Our culture, our society, EVERYTHING has changed in the last fifty years. The Catholic Church is second to none when it comes to building the most beautiful Cathedrals in the world, but we are not so great at reaching out where people are. Catholic 2.0’s aim is the digital world. We are on it all; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, just to name a few. Like us, share us, add us to your day for a minute of “Catholic time” in a hectic world.

The Catholic Church can be the most complicated religion there is at times, especially when we want to know “why” we believe what we believe. Apologetics – the art of defending the Faith, is increasingly important. At a time where laws are created in direct opposition to the Catholic Church, it is more important than ever to have an understanding of our faith. Catholic 2.0 articles will attempt to explain with charity the Catholic understanding of our faith.

Youth Ministry

Many youth leave the Church almost immediately after Confirmation? Why? One of the reasons is a lack of information available for teenagers on our faith. Parents who are luke-warm in their own faith don’t place the importance that they should on Church, Mass, Confession, and eventually kids lose interest. Catholic 2.0 strives to create content, quotes, news articles, images, all geared towards the youth. The Catholic Church is full of Saints, sacred Traditions, music, and so much more…we only need to show them how beautiful it actually is. The missing puzzle piece has been there all along, we only need to show you where to look!

Young Adult Ministry

Young Adult Ministry is often the most ignored part of the Church. Too young to be married in most cases, and too old to be included in Youth Ministry, young adults tend to feel lost. And it shows; many Young Adults leave the Church altogether, and the rest seem to disappear until it’s time to get married. Many want answers to their own questions, and “because the Church says so” is no longer a viable answer. Catholic 2.0 wants you to be a fuller part of the Church…because the Church needs you! We will strive to answer your questions, but also we need your help with Youth Ministry. We need your testimonials, your advice, your encouragement to the Youth. Sooner than you think, they will be in your shoes…will you help them?

It’s hard to be a man in today’s culture. Our faith tells us how we should act, how we should treat women, and our culture has a very different opinion on the matter. Every day men are bombarded with pornography, sex, and the only way to be a true man is to have sex. Is there a better way? The Church says YES! And Catholic 2.0 will show you “how.”

The men might be complaining how hard it is to be a man, but nothing can compare to how society views women. Dress a certain way, act a certain way…feminism, motherhood, sex, birth control, abortion…men seldom have any idea of the pains society puts on women today. Sadly, often times men take advantage of all of this instead. What are Catholic women to do? Catholic 2.0 wants to show you that there is another way.
